Sika is a global leading manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemical products and industrial materials, serving construction and industrial markets. Its technologies are focused on sealing, bonding, damping, reinforcing and protecting, with a worldwide local presence in 90 countries and some 17,000 employees. While Sika is well known globally, in seven key industries, they have little brand recognition in the USA markets.
Sika Corporation (the USA branch) released a RFP in hopes of finding a way to increase their brand awareness. After months of pitches and planning, the concepts turned into a national branding campaign, with initial efforts focussed on digital media, print and outdoor advertising, and a Continuing Educational Event held in Dallas, Texas.
Weeks of research and exploration went into determining the who, what, where and why’s that makes up Sika’s seven core industries and the characteristics that sets them apart. “Every Day Sika” is the fruition born from that diligent work. Internal board meetings within Sika’s organization were held to discuss strategy planning, while videos, storyboards, and conceptual mockups brought the campaign to life. After the campaign was approved, the challenge of building out the deliverables commenced.
